unfolded through 573 letters they exchanged over a 20 month period between January 1845-September 1846.
Experience it as it happens (again), starting with the first letter from RB to EBB, originally posted — via snailmail, of course — on January 10, 1845. All of their letters will be posted on this website in order, on the same day of the month that the letters were originally postmarked in 1845 and 1846. Subscribe via email , and you’ll receive the letter in your email once it’s been “posted” — in all senses of that word. From time-to-time we’ll also share a few bits of information EBB and RB and their letters, as well as some modern visualizations that allow present-day audiences to discover some other fun facts.
